This paper deals with the results of quantitative urine - culture and sensitivity test at Korea University, Woo Sok Hospital from September 1970 to August 1971.
The urine collected from the midstream in male and catheterized in female. The Ericsson¢¥s methodwas applied in this sensitivity test.
The colony count was performed in 128 `cases, and` the significant bacteriuria was 90 cases among 128 cases of, cultured bacteriuria. E. coli was cultured in 47 cases which is 52. 2% among significant bacteriuria while pseudomonas was cultured in 21 cases.
The results of sensitivity test was as follows-, Neomycin"was sensitive in 67.8%, Gentatnicin in 66.7%, Nalidixic acid in 54%, Kanamycin in 50%, respectively. Gentamicin appeared to be the most effective drug forpseudomonas infection in thi"s work.
